YOU routes the IP call to the Internet Telephony Provider's (ITSP- YOU) point of presence (POP) in the US, which in-turn connects to the Public Telephone system in the country, where the call is destined. YOU has a large connectivity to the ITSP in the US to ensure a near toll quality voice experience.

YOU's POP contains the ITSP's switch, which:
- Digitizes and compresses the voice
- Routes the call to the Internet
- Converts the packets of data at the receiving end, to a form compatible with the circuit-switched network
- Tracks billing information
